I love a good story. A good story can stop me in my tracks. At the root of it all, I think that I just love to learn...about people, where they've been, the expertise and experiences they have to share, where they come from, what they've learned. People are fascinating! I'm also drawn to the interconnectivity of things in life. People, nature, culture, ideas, environment, color, pattern, and design.
For me, it always comes back to design and communication. Expressing ideas is my passion. So, it's no surprise that my career path has blended my two loves, graphic design and education.
I am basically a visual storyteller by trade. Whether it's through a comprehensive branded campaign, an animated video, a script, an illustration, a well-curated video set design, or a one-on-one conversation with a client, telling stories is what I do. I design solutions that help other people share their stories effectively with a broader audience. I excel at taking complex subjects and visually explaining them so that almost anyone could understand them. My extensive background in graphic design, biology, science education, and public health have made me a versatile communicator who is always interested in meeting new people, learning new subjects, and sharing knowledge with others.
